My first mudbath....

Well for those of you who know me...this will come as no surprise.

I decided to take a little detour yesterday on my way home from work to visit Chris (boyfriend) at work. Well when I pulled up he was no where to be seen, so I parked on the opposite side of the road to avoid getting the "tires" dirty on the SUV. So I get out and walk over towards the house and start calling out to him. I can hear that they are working on the second floor towards the back (they build houses). Because of all the noise he still can't hear me. I figure I gotta get closer perhaps then he will be able to hear me better. After an inspection of the area I notice that there's a whole lot of dirt and nowhere to walk. But obviously they had to walk to the house somehow so I figured it couldn't be all that bad. I take notice to a piece of plywood on the ground just 2 steps away. So I jump in the mud and then unto the plywood. It was alot muddier then I thought and my shoes where a mess. I keep calling out to Chris and finally he comes to the front of the house to talk to me. When I get ready to leave....I jump back into the mud and my foot gets stuck, I haven't moved my other foot at this point so I try to get back onto the plywood. My foot comes back without the shoe. I lose my balance and step into the mud. A guy driving a tractor drives by at this exact moment to see all of this happening. He's laughing his head off at me. I'm blood red by this time ..... I get the shoe free and my muddy foot back into it and attempt once more to get across. This time the other shoe gets suck in the mud and I step once again into the mud in my sockfeet. At this time i'm covered up to my ankles in mud. It took me a couple of minutes to free my shoes and get over to the truck. I had to strip off my shoes, socks and roll up my pants and drive home barefoot. Can you imagine explaining this story to the cops if I got pulled over!!!! Luckily I made it home and into the house without anyone else noticing.

lol...I really would have loved to have seen that! Even funnier that Chris and the tractor guy watched it all too.
